G’day everyone – Joey here 😀🎅🎄
It’s been such a busy run-up to Christmas, starting way back in July with the initial ideas and design work for the Christmas kits. Along with all the other crafty activities, freebie designs, and mashup challenges, the last six months have been a whirlwind of creativity. I’ve been so busy that I was late putting up the Christmas tree in the studio, something I always look forward to. Today, we finally got there!
For the first time, I unintentionally created a vignette diorama underneath the tree using vintage tins, a cherished teddy bear I made years ago, and old vintage-style toy cars. I was so pleased with the result. Seeing all those Christmas items and decorations I seldom use come together so beautifully has given me loads of ideas for next year. I’m excited to turn the studio into the Christmas decor hub of the house!
For those wondering, is this where I craft? Yes, it is! I have a wonderful dedicated area for all the messiness, painting, gluing, and creating. I’m very lucky to have this space. I also have a separate office where I create my digital work, complete with all the techy hardware, computers, printers, and a small filming area. I enjoy being in both spaces—anywhere I can create is where I’m happiest.
