This week, I embraced Amy’s @craftycat72 brilliant idea of creating oversized postage stamps (journal cards) and a collaged master board. I’ve been thinking of doing a Tudor-themed digital kit for some time, so this was the perfect chance to delve into the fascinating world of Henry VIII and his six wives, and experiment with 15th-century patterns.
The Tudor era, with its rich history and dramatic stories, has always intrigued me. From Henry VIII’s tumultuous marriages to his quest for a male heir, the period is filled with captivating characters and events. Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Catherine Howard, and Catherine Parr – each wife brought her unique influence and story to the court. The Tudor period also saw significant cultural and artistic developments, including the iconic Tudor-style architecture and intricate patterns that are so inspiring, there’s so much that could be included in a kit, without even talking about Elizabeth I.
For this project, I used a brown shopping bag as the base for my creations, giving them a rustic, vintage feel. Thanks, Amy @craftycat72, for leading the way this week – Luvs ya!
