G’day everyone …
As you know I’m taking part in the Grungy Tag Challenge 2026, hosted by Lori @pilesofparagraphs — this month’s prompt is Folded, and it led me straight to the haunting stillness of Miss Havisham from Charles Dickens “Great Expectations”. I set myself an extra challenge this time: to create something that felt both grungy and feminine, a blend of decay and delicacy that mirrors her story. The tag itself is a three‑folded piece, echoing the layers of her life — the moment before the wedding, the moment everything changed, and the long years that followed. At its heart is a folded Victorian ladies’ fan, a symbol of the bride she once was and the life she folded away. Through lace, paper, and distressed textures, I’ve tried to capture the sorrow, the beauty, and the frozen hour she never escaped.
Enjoy your week – Luvs ya — Joey ❤️🦘😀
