This month, I’m excited to bring you our regular monthly Take & Make freebie for July! 🌿🏡🌸 Come wander with me into a lush, sun-drenched sanctuary where vintage stories bloom across every page.

I’m not sure if there will be an August Take and Make, but don’t worry because at the beginning of August there’s going to be a MASSIVE freebie as I release my 5,000 subscriber giveaway freebie! I’m releasing it in August even if I haven’t quite got to the magic number yet. There’s going to be loads for you to play with and I’m so excited 🦋🦋 If you haven’t subscribed to YouTube yet, it’ll be great if you can help me get to that goal!
✂️ What’s Been Happening in the Studio
I haven’t stopped in the studio, designing this July Take and Make and finishing off everything for that MASSIVE giveaway freebie for August. I’ve actually been filming ahead of time for the release of that giveaway project—working on 3 new videos in total that show exactly how to use the freebie (though I don’t want to give away any clues just yet! 😂).
And somewhere amongst all that plotting, I did manage to finish my June Grungy Tag! With the prompt ‘stamped,’ I created ‘Stamped in Time – Alexandria 1936.’ It’s a beautiful, atmospheric piece packed with that classic vintage travel grit and layered stamping that I just love. I also finally managed to film and upload the full flip-through of my Grungy Tag Journal, showing the last 6 months of the challenge! In that same video, I also put together the full page spread for the June Tag, so you can see exactly how it all sits together in the journal.
It was a case of head down and long hours to clear my desk of most projects by the end of June. Why the big rush? Because July is always the start of Christmas designing for me—I know, I know! But if I want to have full Christmas kits ready for release later this year, I have to start the design process right now in July.
My plan is to produce two seasonal kits this year, fingers crossed. The first is a Religious-themed Christmas kit, which is something I’ve never done before. The second, if I can pull it off, will be an opulent Edwardian Christmas kit with a twist. I’m incredibly excited to start, though it’s always a bit daunting to stare at a blank screen.
And somewhere amongst all that holiday plotting, I’ve still got to find the time to tackle the July Grungy Tag Challenge! So yes — I’ve got plenty to keep me busy… but I’ll get there 😃.
