NEW TAKE AND MAKE FREEBIE – MOTHER’S DAY – High Tea Waterfall Card!

G’day everyone — it’s Joey here!

BONUS FREEBIE: High Tea in the Conservatory

G’day everyone … it’s Joey here!

This month, I’ve decided to surprise you with an extra special bonus project … and I’m inviting you to come and join us in the conservatory for high tea. 🏛️🍰✨

Imagine a table laid with fine blue-and-white porcelain, the delicate scent of fresh pink roses in the air, and a tiered stand overflowing with treats. This interactive waterfall card unfolds like a nostalgic afternoon spent in a sun-drenched garden room.

Inside this freebie kit, you’ll find a towering high tea stand, vintage teapots, and dainty silver spoons resting on lace doilies. The cascading waterfall mechanism features six flaps that reveal “hidden treasures” as you flip through, including elegant teacups and macarons. I’ve also included secret pockets to hold mini-booklets and journaling cards … from botanical tea and scone guides to an elegant sugar bowl. These pockets are even sized perfectly to hold a Twinings tea bag, making it a wonderful gift for a “Dear Mother” memory.

📺 The accompanying video on YouTube walks you through the construction.

📥 Where to Find It

The complete kit is waiting for you as a freebie in my Ko‑fi shop – ready to download, print, and bring to life with your own creative touch.

A Heartfelt Note of Thanks ☕💖I want to say a massive, heartfelt thank you to everyone who stops by to grab a freebie, and an extra special “thank you” to those who choose to leave a tip. Your incredible generosity is what keeps this studio alive. Every cup of tea of support you tip me goes directly back into my designing, crafting and filming, allowing me to keep these freebies coming to you all year round. Knowing that these projects find a place in your creative world is the greatest reward I could ask for. Thank you for your kindness and for supporting my passion.

⭐ What’s Coming Next?

I’ve brought the May Take and Make forward to give you this Bonus Mother’s Day freebie, which means my next focus will be the Grungy Tag for May. The prompt is “Weave or Woven” … and I’ll be honest, I haven’t even started it yet!
🧶 For the June Take and Make, I’m finally tackling a Steampunk theme by popular demand. ⚙️🎩 I’m really looking forward to trying my hand at Steampunk for the very first time, hopefully with a Hot Air Balloon theme tucked in there somewhere!

✂️ What’s Been Happening in the Studio

It’s been a bit of a technical battle in the studio lately. I recently got a new phone, and I’ve been hit with a lot of teething problems while filming. 📱 I haven’t quite ironed them all out yet, but I hope that by the next video, everything will be back to normal. 🤞🏻 It’s so frustrating when technical issues eat into precious crafting time … I feel like I’ve fallen a bit behind! I even filmed a full flip-through of my Grungy Tag Journal, but discovered afterward that no audio had recorded, so I had to trash the whole thing. 🗑️ I’ll show the journal properly soon.

For the April Grungy Tag, with the prompt “Circles,” I created the Madam Vespera tag – a small, worn piece built around the idea of a travelling 1930s Carnival and a fortune‑teller and the quiet mystery of her booth . I used weathered circular frames, celestial motifs, and ink‑scuffed edges to give everything that lived‑in, Dust‑Bowl grunge that feels like it’s been handled, packed, unpacked, and carried from town to town.

The circular pockets, the crystal‑ball window, and the layered ephemera all echo the theme, creating a looping rhythm that ties the whole tag together. It’s a simple, atmospheric make … nothing flashy … just a soft, grungy nod to Madam Vespera and the world she might have wandered through.

If you’d like to see how that one came together, you can watch the video here.

I’ve also managed to find a bit of time to continue working on the 5,000 YouTube subscriber BIG Freebie Giveaway. 🎁 There hasn’t been much spare time lately, but thankfully I’m still a bit of a way off from hitting that 5,000 mark! It’s nice because it means I’m not under enormous pressure to finish it just yet, so I can really enjoy the design process—even with all the fussy cutting involved. ✂️ If you’d like to help me reach that milestone, I’d love to have you subscribe to my YouTube Channel!

So yes — I’ve got plenty to keep me busy and a lot of catching up to do with my schedule .. but I’ll get there 😃.

⭐ Thanks again for being part of this creative corner. I hope this High Tea Waterfall Card brings you as much joy as it brought me while designing it. Until next time — happy crafting, and may your month be full of colour, creativity, and beautiful paper.

Joey 😃🦘❤️
